Proper grammar is essential to communicating well in English. “NOVUS” introduces the fundamental aspects of English grammar and explains how they should be applied in written and spoken English. If student just started learning English,student first need to know some basic rules of the language. Developing a solid foundation in English grammar will not only help student create their own sentences correctly but will also make it easier to improve student communication skills in both spoken and written English.
Basic English Grammar:
Singular and Plural Nouns,Count Nouns vs. Non-Count Nouns,Possessive Nouns,Pronouns,’Be’ Verbs,Action Verbs,Adjectives,Comparative and Superlative Adjectives,Adverbs,Simple Tense,Progressive and Perfect Tense,Perfect Progressive Tense,Irregular Verbs,Gerunds,Infinitives 1, Infinitives 2,Active Voice and Passive Voice,Indicative, Imperative, Subjunctive Mood ,Auxiliary Verbs – ‘Be,’ ‘Do,’ ‘Have’,Auxiliary Verbs – ‘Will/Would,’ ‘Shall/Should’,Auxiliary Verbs – ‘Can/Could,’ ‘May/Might/Must’,Prepositions – ‘On,’ ‘At,’ ‘In’,Prepositions – ‘Of,’ ‘To,’ ‘For’,Prepositions – ‘With,’ ‘Over,’ ‘By’,Conjunctions – Coordinating and Correlative,Conjunctions – Subordinating ,Conjunctive Adverbs, Articles – Indefinite and Definite,Interjections,Capitalization.
MAIN OBJECTIVE:
To make the trainee feel comfortable understanding, thinking and speaking in English. Having undergone the training, the candidate will feel confident about his or her own English speaking skills. This module has been designed keeping in mind the basic need of non native speakers of English Language.
